This group focuses on building awareness of procrastination patterns and underlying causes. This session works well after habit groups and should be done closely to group activit(ies) (focusing on specific procrastination strategies) to maintain connection between understanding and strategy implementation. (As a side, I really like this group session because it brings up a lot of good conversation - be prepared!)

Expected Outcomes

Students will demonstrate increased awareness regarding any procrastination patterns, improved understanding of the psychological factors underlying procrastination, and improve their ability to recognize when they're procrastinating and why. This foundation prepares them for learning and implementing specific anti-procrastination strategies in the following session(s).
