Group #27: When wellness goes wrong
This session focuses on developing practical problem-solving skills for common wellness breakdowns that college students experience, with emphasis on strategies to recover and prevent future challenges.
Expected Outcomes
Students will develop the ability to recognize wellness crisis situations, implement quick recovery strategies, and build preventive systems to avoid common wellness disasters. They will understand how interconnected wellness dimensions affect each other and learn to prioritize self-care even during high-stress periods.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this session, students will be able to:
- Identify signs of wellness breakdown across multiple occupations (sleep, nutrition, physical activity, work, etc)
- Develop practical recovery strategies for common college wellness crises
- Recognize how wellness dimensions interconnect and cascade into larger problems
- Create preventive strategies to avoid future wellness challenges
- Problem-solve wellness challenges collaboratively and creatively
- Apply harm reduction principles when ideal wellness isn't possible
